To provide a warm, caring, professional and confidential service, supporting individuals who have special needs and their families. Our goal is to enhance our client’s self-esteem, their understanding of themselves and their specific needs, heighten their self-image and resilience, and promote an optimistic and positive outlook. We aim to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of those in our community who are have diverse needs.

Philosophy
At Special Support we welcome and value diversity. We respect the rights of all people irrespective of disability, age, gender, religion, race or culture. We are committed to raising community awareness and thereby the acceptance of those who are different.

We view disabilities primarily as a difference in ability. We accept that while having or living with a person who has a disability will be challenging, it need not necessarily be a burden upon the individual and their family. We promote a positive and realistic approach to all persons with any type of special needs – sensory, physical, emotional, psychological, social and educational.
