Special Support we aim to provide a service to meet most needs.
If you are looking for more information about your child’s
disorder ask us about education and training for parents, or
check out our ‘Workshops” page for useful parent
sessions.
Perhaps you need more ideas on how to parent your special needs
child, or how to cope with feelings of burnout, stress or grief?
Maybe you need tips on behaviour management? Or do you need
advice on the Gluten and Casein Free Diet or Homeschooling?
Does your child need Social Stories but you don’t know
how to write them? If you need extra help, book an individual
session with Marie or Marita, and we will provide you with specialised
help to meet your unique needs.
Would you like to know more about useful community resources?
We have an extensive database of information about resources
that you are welcome to browse, or ask us if you are looking
for something in particular.
Is your family unit stressed? Siblings, fathers and mothers
will all have their own issues to face and cope with. Talk to
us – we can help. If you have a child on the autism spectrum
you may recognise similar traits in your spouse – we are
personally familiar with such situations, and again, you will
likely find that not only do we understand, but we can help
you.
Would you like to have contact with other parents through support
groups? Check out our ‘Support Groups’ page for
groups that we run. If you would like to meet local families
in your area let us know. We may be able to put your in contact
with other families looking for local contacts.
If we cannot help you personally we can help you by referring
you to someone who can.
